Milestone

At 6 months old, Violet gets to start eating "real" food. So far she has tried rice cereal, Oatmeal cereal, and this week she has tried carrots (not a fan). It's a messy ordeal, but I love to feed her and watch her expression as she experiences each new flavor for the first time.

She said "ma ma" today. It was so cool, but no amount of bribery could get her to say it again.

Swings

I took Violet for a walk to the park today. We watched kids play on the playground for a little while then we decided to try it ourselves. She liked the swings!

Milestone

Today when I took a toy out of Violet's hand (I was changing her shirt, I wasn't being mean) she cried. That's the first time she's done that. What's next, "Mine!"?

Here is Violet with a boy she met tonight, Jacob. She and Jacob have the same birthday. Right after this picture was taken, she reached over and stole his toy. Hey, she's 7 hours older, she deserves some respect.

Circus!

This weekend Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Baily Circus was in town. We decided to take Violet because we figured that's what parents do when the circus is in town. She surprised us by enjoying it.
