Breaking News

This just in...Violet can now roll over from her back to her tummy. Here is some video sent in from our correspondent in the field:

Rolling Stone

Here she is rolling over front to back. She seems to be getting the hang of it, but can't seem to get over the last hump when rolling back to front.

Morning Hiccups

Violet always has the hiccups, she had them even when she was in my belly. Today they were making her smile.

A star is born

This is Violet's debut on the small screen. Don't blink or you might miss it. She's the one in red.

Whole Family

Tonight, Jeff had to take night time pictures of a project downtown so we decided to take Violet out for dinner at Whole Foods. The weather has been perfect, we had dinner outside and did lots of people-watching. It was simple and fun and special, just like our little family. I loved every second.

It's the small things

She's holding that ring and she put it in her mouth. Way to go, Violet!

My First Mother's Day

We spent my first mother's day at the farm. My shirt was a gift from a fellow new mom (thanks Cheryl).

This tummy time mat reminds me of Grandma and Grandpa Robillard's dining room table.

HER name is Violet

ATTENTION STRANGERS IN THE STORE: Just because she's not wearing pink doesn't mean she's a boy.

Taking a really loooong nap

Change of plans

I thought we were going to run a couple of errands today, but Violet had another idea. We got to Babies R Us, I loaded her in the stroller and headed towards the store when I looked down and realized that Violet and her car seat were covered from her waist down in poop.

Needless to say, we turned around and headed home for a bath and to do some laundry. Guess we'll return that merchandise another day.

Oh, there is a picture of the mess, I had to email it to her dad, but I'll spare you blog readers all the gory details. Your welcome.

Cinco de Mayo

This is how we celebrate the victory of the Mexican army over the French invasion at the Battle of Pueblo in 16-something. Viva la Mexico!

Violet in her Bumbo

Violet sitting in her Bumbo. It's great 'cause she likes to be up, looking around. Even though she can't sit up yet on her own, she can when she's in this chair. She was smiling like crazy and making us laugh.

Cracking up!

Pecan Street Festival

For you out-of-towners the Pecan Street Festival is a bi-annual tradition in Austin on 6th St. It's full of arts and crafts vendors and music stages, but more importantly families and dogs and festival food! This was Violet's first experience and she loved it even though the wiener got more attention from strangers than she did.
