Violet loves her vegetables

Now let's hope it stays that way. So far she's tried:

carrots
sweet potato
peas
squash
green beans
corn

Tomorrow I think we'll try spinach. Oh and she likes gelato too, but don't tell anyone I gave her a taste of that.

Labor Day Weekend in South Texas, continued

So much fun it wouldn't all fit on one post

Milestone: She's sitting up!

Can you also check under the hood?

Violet up late to watch the fireworks

Nothing like the sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep

Labor Day Weekend in South Texas

We spent the weekend with some friends at South Padre Island and had a great time. Violet was great in the car for the 6 hour ride down there, Jeff got to eat all his favorite South Texas foods (Vermillion nachos, Isabel's tacos, fresh gulf red snapper, Wahoo ceveche and boiled shrimp, and the list goes on...), and I loved relaxing on the beach.

The 80's are Still Alive at Playland Skate Center

A 40th birthday celebration at the roller rink. If they had skates small enough we would have had you out there, Violet...like, totally! At least you got to do your first Hokey Pokey...is that really what it's all about?

Violet loves Itze, she's always relaxed with her.

First time for V to meet long-time friends Bill, Susie and Lilly

(A portion) of the Robert's family

Lilly is a natural. She held Violet, bounced her like a pro, and put her to sleep no problem.

A Visit with Aunt Jen

Trying to get V in the water, but she'd rather sit and watch.

Austin, being big. V pretending to be big.

Milestone

At 6 months old, Violet gets to start eating "real" food. So far she has tried rice cereal, Oatmeal cereal, and this week she has tried carrots (not a fan). It's a messy ordeal, but I love to feed her and watch her expression as she experiences each new flavor for the first time.

Mmmmmm...oatmeal!

Carrots...made with love, rejected with disdain.

MaMa

She said "ma ma" today. It was so cool, but no amount of bribery could get her to say it again.
